This weekend looks to be gloriously warm and sunny. A perfect opportunity to get out your bike and ride. There are several local events scheduled for the weekend so don’t complain that you have nowhere to go!

Skagit Harley-Davidson hosts its Spring Bike Show on Saturday starting at 9 am. Vendors, live music and lots of bikes on display.

Also on Saturday, STAR Chapter 154 kicks off the season with their first monthly BBQ of the year at Skagit Powersports. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served from 10 am till 2 pm.

Jeff Henshaw over at The Hog Blog has put together his annual Tulip Ride on Sunday. Starting from XBox HQ in Redmond, the ride route includes Marine View Drive and a lunch stop in LaConner. T-shirt sales for the event will benefit Northwest Harvest. Visit Jeff’s site for all the details.

No matter where you go this weekend, be extra careful out there. Good weather brings the bikes out and those long-dormant skills need some time to get back to peak levels. Take it easy and stay alert.
